Crease-free components

In the production of its irons, the renowned manufacturer Rowenta relies on tool technology with near-contour cooling from Werkzeugbau Hofmann. This has significant advantages like less installation effort, better part quality and shorter cycle times.

In order to select the best cooling method for the respective production process, Hofmann relies on analysis results from Moldex3D. The CAE software package gives the designer a virtual look inside the tool. Statements about the flow behavior, temperature distributions, pressure losses as well as flow velocities are available for the assessment of the optimal cooling method. This is especially indispensable if the temperature control channels in the LaserCusing inserts become very complex. The simulation is always used for the design and control of the cooling channel design.
